Steel Hand, Iron Will

Chapter 5: Final Battle

Nina was slowly getting out of the shock of being kidnapped and then being saved by Slash of all people, not to mention finding out that his father, the one who had kidnapped her, was completely psychotic, and the two were trying to kill each other.

Sparks flew as the combatants raged. N. Hanced attacked much like a snake, with fluid movements, yet powerful strikes. Slash, on the other hand, attacked like a tiger. Full of rage, with powerful, feral strikes, looking for the kill.

Why? Why is Slash fighting so hard to protect me? Why? Nina thought to herself. "Why?" She said aloud. "Why is he doing this?"

Andelina was about to open her mouth, but Hai-Kutt floated in front of her, shaking his head. "That's for Slash to say." Hai-Kutt replied. "But trust me when I say he has a good reason."

Nina had begun to think about Slash once Hai-Kutt had finished speaking. She hadn't really thought much of him in the beginning. Just some clown with a sharp metal hand. But when she began to observe his grades, she noticed that he had the potential to be a genius. He could understand anything if it was repeated often enough, and she had never seen him take notes. He could copy and predict any enemy movements.

But then she learned to go beyond just his mind. In the past month, she had begun observing him a tad more closely. The boy almost never slept, had a fanatical obsession with Sonic the Hedgehog, even going so far as to dress up as his evil rival Shadow for Halloween.

And from this observation, she had grown in her understanding of the strange boy. Besides Andelina, the boy had almost no friends (Henry, and PJ were more friendly aquaintances.), and seemed so very alone. Whenever he was alone in his room he'd just sit on the windowsill and stare at the clouds with a forlorn look on his face.

Suddenly, Slash was able to land a large cut on N. Hanced's arm. The scientist yowled in pain and backed up a few steps, holding one metallic hand to his upper arm.

"Face it, Hanced." Slash said as he dropped into his fighting stance once again. "Give yourself up and I'll let you die quickly."

The father merely grinned as he began unbuttoning his labcoat. "You don't know what you've gotten yourself into, boy. But it seems I'll have to pull out all the stops to kill you." He then threw off his labcoat.

"What the...?" Slash said.

"That's unusual." Lockbolt remarked, hand on her chin.

"GREAT GOOGLY'S MOOGLY'S!!!" Andelina shouted.

"I may hurl..." Hai-Kutt said, turning a few shades of gray lighter.

"AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!" N. Hanced cackled with glee. He had taken the whole 'cyborg' thing to an extreme. everything from his naval down was mechanical, except for the boots he wore, and so were his arms. "What do you think of my perfect form?" N. Hanced grinned maniacally.

"I think you're insane." Slash replied.

"Ha! You simply refuse to use what you have! Let's see how insane you think I am when you're smoldering in a crater." He smirked and waved before disappearing.

"Uh-Oh." Slash muttered just before he was punched in the face. As he reeled from the blow, N. Hanced appeared behind him and punched him in the kidney. "AUGH!!!" The son went flying into a wall, and actually bounced off and onto the floor.

For the next ten minutes, N. Hanced swatted his child around like he was a tennis ball. His screams of pain echoed in the building as his father mercilessly beat him to a pulp. Nina flinched when she heard Slash scream as one of his ribs crack. When it was over, Slash was hunched over on the ground. N. Hanced was poised in front of him, grinning maniacally.

"What's the matter boy? Too much for you? Giving up already?"

"...Shut up..." Slash muttered. He was on his hands and knees, breathing deep. "I...will destroy you."

Outside N. Hanced's laboratory, dark clouds began to circle the area in an ominous show of power. Lightning began to crackle around as the clouds quickly circled the building, as if waiting for something.

"AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Hanced cackled. "You will be incapacitated. And I'll make you watch as I torture and kill your friends." Slash's eyes narrowed. "Once I conquer the world, I'll make sure your half-breed friend and girlfriend will get special treatment." Electricity began coursing around Slash's body. "I'll make you watch as I torture them. By the time I'm done, they'll wish they were dead. BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"

"Slash..." Nina said softly as she watched N. Hanced threaten everything Slash cared about.

"R...Raaa...RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!!!!!" Slash stood suddenly, and he raised his hand to the ceiling. Lightning burst from his hand and exploded through the ceiling. The dark clouds were visible, the epicenter was glowing white. "You have threatened my friends, beaten my family, and turned my own flesh and blood against me. Your sins have gone beyond all forgiveness and atonement. There is only one path open to you now..."

"C'mon, c'mon..." Lockbolt crossed his fingers.

"DEATH."

"YES!"

"He's...He's not actually going to do that, is he?" Hai-Kutt said to himself.

"Roll of Thunder, hear my cry..." Slash began to chant.

"He IS."

"He's doing what?" Nina asked.

"The ultimate lightning-oriented spell. It summons...Raijin. A lightning god, who gives the caster a much more powerful form and enhanced magical energy. In short, N. Hanced is well, and truly, F**KED." The mask replied.

"Become one with my being...And vanquish my enemies!!" He raised both hands to the sky. "ALASTOR!!!!" Lightning hit both of his hands this time, shortly followed by an explosion.

"Slash!!" Andelina yelled, as she intended to run over to the boy, but Hai-Kutt stopped her.

"WHAT did I just get finished telling you? That's part of the spell! Relax, Andelina." The hybrid nodded and backed away.

Finally...the explosion faded. And when Slash was visible, everyone present's eyes widened.

Slash grinned, showing a mouth full of razor sharp teeth. His eyes glowed an eerie blue color, and his hair was now the same shade of blue as his eyes. But the most foreign part was his back. A pair of gargoyle-like blue wings shot from his back, spread fully.

"Let's see you try to beat me now." Slash smirked before disappearing with a flash.

"Where did-GAH!!!" Before he knew what happened, the exact same thing that he had done to Slash was being done to him. "Agh..." He groaned as he attempted to stand. "What...?"

"Foolish FATHER..." Slash spat out the word like he would a rock. He was hovering slightly over the ground, grinning still. "You still don't understand. I can move with the speed of lightning." He then zapped his way behind Hanced. "And strike twice as hard." Electricity sparked from his hand and smacked N. Hanced right in the back.

Andelina winced as the balding man twitched errantly on the ground.

"Now...Let's finish this." Slash said as he backed away and held his fleshy hand in front of his face. Electricity flashed into existence on his hand.

"I couldn't agree more you miserable welp!" N. Hanced retorted as he stood up shakily.

Slash's wings flapped rapidly as he gained height. N. Hanced simply walked up the wall, his metal legs magnetically sticking to it.

"Are you ready, you little brat?" N. Hanced grinned.

Slash grinned right back, showing off his impressive array of teeth. "Heheheheh...Let's get dangerous."

"I taught him that one." Hai-Kutt said proudly. Nina repressed the urge to roll her eyes.

The electricity in Slash's hand was now nothing but a bright yellow ball, emmiting lines of lightning. Slash let the arm go behind him.

"LIGHTNING BLADE!!!" He charged, a line of blue light trailed behind him.

"I can take this!" N. Hanced yelled as he jumped off the wall.

The two met in the air...

And Slash's lightning blade shocked N. Hanced. Apparently, he had forgotten the basic laws of physics, and that metal and wires are good conductors of electricity. The sheer force of Slash's technique cut through N. Hanced's arm like butter. The balding man screamed as a burst of blood shot towards Slash's face, and in a fit of desperation, he clawed at Slash's chest, leaving rather large cut marks.

But N. Hanced was still alive. He was missing an arm and had major cuts on his chest, but he was alive.

"Why..." N. Hanced coughed a bit of blood. "Why did you leave me like this?"

"Because...No matter what you do, who you hurt, or how much I REALLY want to kill you...There's a part of me, deep down, that will always love my father." Slash snarled, before turning. "Doesn't mean I have to help you." He grinned as he sealed his sword back into his tattoo and replaced his sunglasses. "See ya, pops."

Outside, the dark clouds faded away, leaving the dawning light...

Slash's nightmare was over.

I originally kept bouncing off the walls on how to end this little adventure. I think this is good.

N. Hanced WILL return...

Why isn't Hai-Kutt jaded by death? You'll have to wait. Cuz I'm evil. ^_^

Stay tuned for the final chapter and then the epilogue! Also some gift art for y'all for reading my story.

Very VERY VERY good how you started telling the actiong from the Nina’s POV, really, that was a sure win

Poor Andelina, she’s not the “watch while a friend fights” type, she wants to help =P, if it wasn’t for Hai-Kutt, she couldn’t have evite help Slash =P Andelina is sure a girl in the bad side with good heart =P, just a little pyromaniac and mentally ill, but she is =P

Lockbolt is happy :XD: Sure he was “WTF?!!!” when he saw N. Hanced still alive, he’d be dissapointed… :XD:

LOL!!!! That part made me smile =P I imagined to Hai-Kutt with shiny puppy eyes

Wow, Slash conection with the lighthing is simple amazing =D I love it!!!! =D

Do you realise how much bad things can a person think when they read “He then threw off his labcoat.”? :XD: You understand me… I know what was gonna happen (The illustration) But anyway… LOL!!!! Okay, okay, let’s take it serious, but I can’t help myself… :XD: I imagine him threwing off it with a simple hand, like the streap-tease clothes and… Okay, I shut up, I don’t want to ruin it more :XD: It was amazing, seriously and sincerly =)

The three last paragraphs were really really great, it gave the story such a... COOLNESS =)

First off that is an awesome picture by Sony-shock. ^_^

Awesome action going on. Love the fight scene between Slash and his father. ^_^

And I like the romantic sub-plot between Nina and Slash. ^_^

Yes, Sony-Shock is awesome. Especially in this chapter.

I thought I sucked at action scenes, but it seems people especially like the action here. Good to know. ^_^

Just because the Wii doesn't support HD graphics doesn't mean it sucks. Doesn't mean the other systems automatically suck, though. All video games rock.
